SINGING TO GOD/ALABANDO A DIOS

Religious songs, present in the life of God's people since the liberation of Israel from Egypt (Ex 15:1-20), are a manifestation of profound feelings of love, admiration, joy, enthusiasm, sadness, repentance, and especially worship, petition and thankfulness.  Their goal is to glorify God and sanctify the faithful.

Our Church has three choirs, that, together with the People of God, encourage the liturgical celebrations, especially the Eucharist. The 5 PM choir, which sings in English, is directed by Gordon Satoh, the 9 AM choir, which sings in Spanish, is directed by Arnold Hennig (517-483-3860), and the 12 PM choir, which sings bilingual, is directed by Corinne Kendall (517-282-6445). New members are ALWAYS welcome to join any choir to praise God with your voice or instrument. You can call any of the directors for more information.

Papa San Gregorio Magno

THE MUSIC FOR LIFE

Jesus said to the crowds: “To what shall I compare the people of this generation? What are they like? They are like children who sit in the marketplace and call to one another, ‘We played the flute for you, but you did not dance. We sang a dirge, but you did not weep.’”

Luke 7:31-32 (Reflexion here)
