On November 1st we will have Mass at 7 PM where we'll remember All the Saints who have died and are sharing now in the glory of God. November 1st is a holy day of obligation. The next day, on November 2nd at 7 PM, we commemorate the Souls of All the Faithful Departed and pray for them. You are invited to bring a picture of your loved one or a candle and put it on the ofrenda in the Church's lobby. You can also write the name/s of your loved ones on a little card and we'll take them before the altar on November 2nd.

El 1ero de noviembre tendremos la Misa a las 7 PM donde recordaremos Todos los Santos que han fallecido y ahora comparten la gloria de Dios. El 1ero de noviembre es un día de obligacion. El 2 de noviembre a las 7 PM conmemoraremos a los Fieles Difuntos. Estás invitado/a a traer una foto de tu ser querido y/o una veladora para ponerla en la ofrenda en la entrada de la Iglesia. También puedes escribir el nombre de tus seres queridos en las pequeñas tarjetas y las llevaremos ante el altar el 2 de noviembre.

LA CONMEMORACION DE LOS FIELES DIFUNTOS
(Día de los Muertos)
“We believe in the communion of all the faithful of Christ, those who are pilgrims on earth, the dead who are being purified, and the blessed in heaven, all together forming one Church; and we believe that in this communion, the merciful love of God and his saints is always [attentive] to our prayers” CCC 962
After celebrating All Saints Day on November 1st each year the Church celebrates the Feast of All Souls on November 2nd. After celebrating the saints we come to pray for our faithful loved ones who have gone before us in death. In our parish we celebrate the Eucharist at 7 p.m. and bring our rich traditions to this celebration. On this day, we bring pictures of our loved ones or a candle for those who passed away in procession to the altar at the beginning of the Eucharistic celebration. We also set the Altar of the Dead at the entrance of the Church. Most of all, we pray for them and ask them to intercede for us before our Heavenly Father. We believe that death is not the end, but the beginning of a new life. Our loves ones are not physically with us anymore, but our faith teaches us that we can relate with them in a different way. God gives us the strong hope that, through His mercy, we are going to meet with them again in the Kingdom of Heaven in eternal communion with Him and all the saints.
...I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, God's dwelling is with the human race. He will dwell with them and they will be his people and God himself will always be with them as their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain, for the old order has passed away." Rev. 21:3-4

Después de celebrar el Día de Todos los Santos el 1ero de noviembre cada año la Iglesia celebra la Fiesta de los Fieles Difuntos el 2 de noviembre. Después de celebrar a los santos venimos a rezar for nuestros fieles seres queridos que nos han precedido en la muerte. En nuestra parroquia celebramos la Eucaristia a las 7 p.m. y traemos nuestras ricas tradiciones a esta celebración. En este día, traemos fotos de nuestros seres queridos o una veladora por aquellos que fallecieron en procesión al altar al principio de la celebración Eucarística. También colocamos el Altar de los Muertos en la entrada de la Iglesia. Más que todo, rezamos por ellos y les pedimos que intercedan por nosotros ante nuestro Padre Celestial. Creemos que la muerte no es el final, sino el principio de una nueva vida. Nuestros seres queridos ya no están físicamente más con nosotros, pero nuestra fe nos enseña que podemos relacionarnos con ellos de una manera diferente. Dios nos da la fuerte esperanza que, por Su misericordia, nos vamos a encontrar con ellos nuevamente en el Reino de los Cielos en comunión eterna con El y todos los santos.
